Brazil on Tuesday defended its decision to allow British military aircraft flying to the Falkland Island to call at Brazilian airports, landings that annoyed Argentina. The complaint is not new, and Brazilian policy under different governments over the years has been one of accepting those calls. Read full article

Brazil like many other countries just pay lip-service to Narnia's Malvinas myth.

Why, really, do so many countries pay lip service to Argentina? They must gain something. Many countries also pay lip service to the so called “One China principle”. But Argentina is not so strong and mighty as China, so why just not say: “Mind your own business!” when Argentina complains.

@Swede, They are probably fed up to the back teeth with Argentinas crying and just go along with it for a quiet life, as Steve says lip- service,

Brazil pretends it supports Argentina's claim, Argentina pretends it believes....South American diplomacy....keeps Argentina happy, which doesn't mean much, but at least avoids Argentina pestering Brazil all the time....

We’re anticipating to harvest on the 21st and if the goddess Pachamama favors us — we may have a chance to overcome this uncertain season. (We have unfortunately hearing rumors of an upcoming port labor strike.)

    ¡Saludos cordiales desde Panquehue!

    Political realities.

Otherwise known as Hot Air. Used extensively within South America to placate Argentina boring cries for unity, whilst actually achieving nothing. For example, Chile promotes a Falklands resolution before the C24 every year, in the certain knowledge that the C24 will not recommend its adoption by the UN. A pantomime.

Such wonderful games do politicians play ..... to fool the people.

Here's the C24 report for 2021, should anyone doubt my word (recommendations start on page 40) -

When Argentina is complaining about something the other Latin American states answer something like: “Oh, of course we support your legitimate Malvinas claim, but in this case.....” They say what Argentina wants to hear, but act in a way better for themselves.
