You get excited over nothing- all N powers always keep their systems on high alert and ready for instant use- no damn point in having them otherwise - that's why they are called a “deterrent”. against others who also have them.

Besides, they weren’t playing cricket, and it was Argentina that gave the UK the colour of right, of self-defence.
Specifically United Nations Security Council Resolution 502 which is bona fide international law; and the UN charter (Article 51) permitted the UK’s military response as a matter of lawful self-defence.

As I stated earlier — an experienced RAF airman in 1962 with a qualified technical rating then would have had to be at least in his early twenties and would be an octogenarian today! (Skippy is currently in his mid-40s and simple mathematics cannot be ignored.)
