    Geeeee....

Teslyn Barkman says that them Colonial Kelpers reaffirmed in 2013 their Colonial “Wish to be a Part of 'Global Britain” with a Decisive Vote“..., when ”Global Britain” was first mentioned not sooner than in 2016...!

As Henry Morton Stanley would have said...:
    - Doctor Who's Time Travelling Teslyn..., I presume...?

    Chuckle..., chuckle...

    Think,
As you well know that referendum was monitored and openly observed by a range of international monitors including elected members of several of South American nations - 2 being neighbours to Argentina- and all verified the voting as free- democratic and unhindered or influenced.

    Timlander1...

As you well know..., that referendum was monitored and observed by a very small & selected range of international monitors... (((Selected and appointed by the Global Britain Local Colonial Authorities))) including elected members of several of South American nations - 2 being neighbours to Argentina... ((((And all of them heavily economically involved with British business and interests in their respective Countries))) - and all verified the voting as free- democratic and unhindered or influenced...(((As it needn't to be otherwise..., when about 1,600 British citizens organize and vote on a referendum about them continuing to be British citizens)))

Besides..., the UN officially disapproved that 2013 referendum...
    As you well know...

You guys have got Think all wrong.

    I really like him.

When you think about Argentina and all their threats to the islands, all the peacock posturing, all the silly trips to the “Decolonisation committee” it makes you happy that it is this impotence that stops another invasion where folk might die, where the islanders might be used as human shields, where unmapped minefields are left for a generation.

If you ever worried about that impotence, whether the Peronists could muster another attack, you need look no further than dear old “Think”.

A cowardly keyboard warrior making snide, impotent comments from the safety of his hovel...but you know his Falklands fetish reaches no further....he'd run a mile if challenged in real life.

Be grateful that Argentina is full of “Thinks”. Not very bright, not very brave, not any danger.

Continued evidence that keyboard warriors, who are a bit thick, but incredibly arrogant are all the islanders have to worry about.

You know there is no historic, moral, legal or any other Argentine claim to the islands, but your boredom allows you to spew nonsense on these forums day by day. Good luck if it keeps you happy...at least you are not sending badly trained teenagers to die for your “fetish”.

Wrong, as to the Referendum the UN has stated nothing, and “silence in law is consent”, therefore the UN has given legal approval of the referendum.

Aren’t you absolutely the proven liar?

The UN has made no comment upon the 2013 Falklanders referendum. If it had, there would be a UN resolution disapproving of the event. As there had been in 1967 regarding that years' Gibraltar referendum (Res. 2353 (XXII).

The UN only speaks through its General Assembly Resolutions.

Besides..., as you perfectly know..., the UNITED NATIONS OFFICIAL POSITION today Thu., 17 mar. 2022 is...:

    - The Falkland Islands (Malvinas)* has been on the United Nations list of Non-Self-Governing Territories since 1946, following the transmission by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of information under Article 73 e of the Charter of the United Nations.**”
    - *A dispute exists between the Governments of Argentina and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning sovereignty over the Falkland Islands (Malvinas).
    - **At the 25th meeting of the Fourth Committee in the 1st session of the General Assembly, held on 6 December 1946, the delegation of Argentina made a reservation to the effect that the Argentine government did not recognize British sovereignty in the Falkland Islands (Malvinas). The delegation of the United Kingdom made a parallel reservation, not recognizing Argentine sovereignty in these islands.

No UN resolution since 1988, Trunk.

Would that be because the Decolonization Committee fails, every year, to recommend its own Falklands resolution for adoption by the UN GA?

As Douglas Hurd said in 1994, the matter is effectively settled.

    - Secondly and most important..., seems that your British ex-copper helping hand above has somewhere found that United Nations Resolutions have a “Best Before Date”...
    Just ask him where... ;-)))))))))

Thirdly..., you Kelper Guys argument about that “Sixty Ethnicities Vibrant Malvinas” is much better than his...

    Trunks,

UN resolutions can die. Either by changing circumstances, or by replacement.
Each of the annual resolutions after 1982, were replaced by that of the following year. Otherwise, they would be repeating themselves for no obvious purpose. The wording changed hardly at all from 1982 - 1984. However, that of 1985 was dramatically different in that it dropped all reference to previous resolutions - effectively killing them off. The wording used in 1985 was then repeated until 1988. Each years resolution replaced that of the previous year.

The resolution of 1988 was answered and negotiations held. Clearly, that result was to the satisfaction of the UN as there have been no calls for any debate or resolution since that time.
