Disclaimer & comment rulesWell, considering that quite a few of the members of the two top courts, the STJ and the STF are no more than political cronies of one or the other of the presidential candidates, and that the STF twisted (and ignored) the constitution to allow Lula to be released, besides guaranteeing that all investigations against him start from scratch, it's easy to deduce that the majority of Supreme Court Justices are intent on seeing Lula back in power......they have a lot to gain from it, politically and financially.

Spot on, Jack. In my circle of friends and family here in Brazil, it is either uncritically Bolsonaro or PT and these are, by and large, educated people with ample information access. The obvious parallel is the Trump - Democrat divide in the US where a third path is sorely needed to replace the Demopublican / Republicrat one party system.
