President Alberto Fernández called Argentines to “feel proud” and “put the ex-combatants in their rightful place” during the celebration of the 41st anniversary of the landing in Stanley (then renamed Puerto Argentino) by the South American country's troops which kicked off the 1982 Falkland/Malvinas war. The rantings of a fanatical deluded fool, you are irrelevant, Nothing is required from Argentina you are obsolete, the past 40 years have proved that, make the world listen ?, they are sick to death of you whining and crying, now is the time to stop any Argentines visiting the islands,

But..., me dear Engrish ex-copper waiting for the rain in Siam that falls mainly on the Isan plain...

That “little light in the darkness” of yours has effectively..., completely & utterly been “Exocetted” by your very own & haughty Sir Alan James Carter Duncan KCMG, former Conservative Party politician who served as Minister of State for Europe and the Americas from 2016 to 2019....

    Remember...?

Why do they persist in calling Port Stanley, as it was then called, “Puerto Argentino”, a name that was never ratified in law and, therefore, has never been recognised as its name?

I don't care how they see their war veterans but I don't like journalists getting the truth wrong.

The Malvinas unites us he says, whipping up nationalistic fervour to distract the people from what they are failing at which is running the country, in the end its just meaningless rhetoric. the Falklands are here to stay , and their is nothing they can do about it apart from cry,

I agree with Juan Cervantes, I have seen a lot of videos on Youtube of Argentines visiting the islands and making ironic comments imagining they were an Argentine province, unfortunately it is the brainwashing that millions and millions of Argentines have, 190 years have passed, another 190 will pass with British rule . In Europe the name Malvinas is not known, they think we are talking about the Maldives, instead if you say Falklands they immediately recognize them, with this I have said it all. Amen

Now is the time for all wise Argentines to vote with their feet and say enough is enough. Forty years of continued brain washing and money laundering is crippling Argentina and it has to stop now. Only the will of the Argentine people can and should do that.
Surely it is a crime against humanity to suppress the peole of Argentina.
One day I see Argentina becoming one of two things , very prosporous under new rule or sadly one where Argentina becomes extinct. They simply cannot sustain this crazy debt and mythicle claim without destroying themselves. I am sure the good Argentine people do nit want that to happen.

Yes, a very interesting link, thanks.

It’s not going to change in the foreseeable, no reason why it should.

The ruling elite continues to profit and the poor continue to swallow the Malvinas bullshit.

    And so it goes on.

The myth lives on. If it was not for the brainwashing of their people Argentina would not have a myth and it would be a great country.
The people have to make that change. Remove the myths. Come clean to the people and stop the rot that is holding them back.
The irony is that all of the western Atlantic region put together would never be as rich as Argentina could be. Stupid people have missed opportunities for decades in Argentina. Why, they even destroyed their world class beef industry.
Talk about shooting one's self in the foot.

Sometimes one wonders how much Argentina is spending each year on the “Causa Malvinas”. Perhaps a larger part of the GDP than the U.K. spends on the defence of the Falkland Islands. Lots of taxpayers' pesos to pay all those national, regional and local instances engaged in promoting the “National Ideology of Malvinism”. And with zero result.
