How consistently this nasty little vile publication can never help itself. It will always be bogged down into mediocrity because it incessantly oozes contempt and propagandist prejudices with every turn of the page.
    -
If Britain or any of its client states were to bring up The Falkland Islands as a territorial sovereignty dispute issue at a University symposium, the word would be “introducing” or “tackling” or “discussing” or “adding”, but if Argentina is expected to do so (as a country less worth of self respect or respect by others, correct?), the word is “creeping in”.
Let me just skip the whole truthing tirade of how the world would be a much more peaceful and socially just place if you seized to exist and get to the point: You dumb little stupid bastards; first of all, the people “invited” (to promote support and propaganda for the liberal opposition to Argentina's elected government -- otherwise they never would have been invited) will OBVIOUSLY be on Britain's side about the Malvinas issue because they want BRITISH AND AMERICAN MONEY, they may imply some kind of reasonable advancement forward or out of this stagnant place by hinting at some form of compromise to not loose voters back home, or even make some quick blunt suggestion around “it's time to let go of the dispute”. Hardly will they “creep in” the subject you sons of btchs, always trying to insult our country publically ! CREEP IN? Really, you lying sacks of sh*t!? It very likely will be the presenters themselves to bring up the issue, having established with these anti-patriot sellouts what their response will be. Or set it up so that it looks like they bring it up and not the presenters, though undoubtedly, I'll bet money on it, it will have been previously discussed. You lying bloody cheats.

It may well be raised by the Argy contingent, but I can’t see there being any discussion about it other than as an example of good governance.

It can quickly and easily be explained to them how they don’t have a case, with a brief history lesson.

Unless this is like the G7 meeting where Pres Ferna asked to meet with PM Johnson, only to refuse to talk unless about the Malvinas.

Perhaps they will arrive there and refuse to speak other than about the Malvinas.

What a wasted trip that would be.

As outlined by Mercopress the enterprise sounds politically unbalanced. It is not at all sure that the current opposition would do well. Given the years in power (38) since 1946 peronismo has been in power for 38 years. Any notion of governance would regard including them as an open a shut case. In addition I doubt a university department woud risk its reputation taking up such a biased invitation but I assume those on the lost would end up funding the trip themselves. “Cervantes”? What a disgrace to our Spanish heritage! Must be made up undoubtedly.
Tell me jUan, What in all that I said is a lie? Conspiracy my butt!! What a classical non argumentative mindless defense! Everything I said is spot on what is really going on and what is probably going to happen.
Always selecting foreign politicians sympathizing with Anglosphere geopolitical aims and goals is just their Modus Oprandi. Why not let rip, and have Macri speak in Parliament, like the US had Juan Guaido in Congress!? DISGUSTING! And my point about MercoPress' insolent stupidity in using the term “creep-in” is exactly correct.

    You want to know what I love and I think is great about most of my rude and “filthy” comments? That they always spurr hostile reactions that astaundly firmly support and corroborate my points in them, immediately following them. It almost funny. Example;
“ ...you should be banned immediately from this site and never be able to spew your...” : the result of being molded by a society that sees the outside world with fascistic nationalistic condescendance and oppressiveness.
“...I can’t see there being any discussion about it other than as an example of good governance.”: Hilarious. It's a single purpose military camp in the form of civilian living. An “occupation act” completely built by London to appear a certain way and have these spineless cretins happily chime in cahoots with their sovereign's purpose. How hard could it possibly be for a country like the UK to make sure 3000 people not burdened with the complexities and real challenges of running their own independent country in the world, be contented and economically comfortable, when their sole goal requires it as a logistic strategy? You're such fakes!
“...explained to them ...with a brief history lesson.” : Classic pedantic racist condescendance, one which the English and Americans have always used as one of several personas to hide their imperialistic thievery and contempt for others

Trimonde, i have no problem with you disagreeing with me or any other poster, and yes Universities welcome money from ANYWHERE, not just the USA and the UK, but you let yourself down time after time, firstly you are a conspiracy wacko just like those crazy Q Anon fools in America, I cant speak for Americans but the Falklands are sod all to do with America and Britain has no Imperialistic aims what so ever, quite the opposite ,they would love to offload all the BOTs today if it was possible, Pitcairns population 50 people , how is that possible, and as for your foul mouth rants, nothing more needs to be said, many people have said the same thing about them, even your above long winded waffle above is pathetic, , Universities can invite who ever they want and have done for decades, some who should have never been invited, but thats what living in a democratic free country is ,

as An American born Italian named squatter in South America, what gives you any right to tell the Falklanders anything, Britain gets nothing from the Falklands and doesnt want anything from them, fakers and occupation you say, have a day off, the occupation was in 82 with your evil murdering Junta and the only fakers are you fanatic political activists who live for a myth and lie about the Falklands, its clear to everybody you are the racist and spew nothing but hatred, the Falklands will still be here long after you and i have gone, so grow up, cut out the foul mouth rants and become a decent human being,

Oh PLEASE! You CANNOT be this stupid! ... Pitcairn? LOL oh yes! Absolutely the same! If Britain was set fast on holding the Falklands, why are they then so stone faced afraid of just humoring Argentina at least, and agreeing to have talks about the issues concerning history and territorial claims? If Britain is so sure of its historical and political right to the islands, instead of riding on the islander's fictitiously created rights to the islands, why doesn't it just say “sure! what do we want to talk about?”. Anglo North American governments, and now it seems Australia as well are the biggest pathological liars on the planet, along side other countries like France, and a few other ones.
What I was saying flew right over your head anyways. I mean Macri and his cronies are the ones interested in US UK money, not Cambridge! LOL . And I'm not talking about getting paid by Cambridge either. I'm talking about building favorably-seen financial rapport over the long term in benefit of their political groups in Argentina.
You are blinder than a bat when it comes to the real forces at work between London and the Southern Cone. A puppy of the “we are good ones status quo” bullshit, and it seems also you are highly challenged in distinguishing raving conspiracy fantasy, from well known issues of current powers geopolitical criticism. Though I realize you'll try to fend off any way you can.
Spare me you ridiculous self righteous and delusionally brainwashed “you wouldn't know what a democracy is about”, Britain and the US are outstanding examples on betraying their own pretentious self boasting narratives, which by the way, the world and your own countries are increasing catching up to more each day, thank god to the communications revolution, which of course now they are racking their heads trying to figure out how to control and censor without appearing to do so, as always. Haven't your governments lied enough to the world already? It's just becoming a circus isn't it?

Trimonde, you clearly are not too bright and very tunnel visioned, no one is more self righteous than yourself, deluded and pretty much a racist too, you proved that in a different thread when you said Latin America is for the Spanish and Portuguese only, so what is an Italian American doing squatting there? you have some serious mental issues about conspiracy theories, and imperialism,

Again, for the 100th time Britain is not desperate in any way to hang on to the islands, its the islanders choice what they want to be, and not to be told what they should be by stark raving fanatical political clowns living in Buenos Aires, it must be sad living a lie and hoping for a pipe dream for all these years, may be the next generation of Argentinians will be more mature and live in the real world not la la land which clearly is where you reside, so for the next 50 years why not show kindness and decency to the islanders and prove to them that you are a good people worth talking to, because one thing is certain having an attitude like yours will achieve nothing , other than push them further and further away, now go take some medication and have a little lay down ,it may make you feel better,

It is impossible to begin “negotiations” as you request, because the Argentine position begins with a lie. If you start with the truth, it may be possible to negotiate. So lets begin with the facts.

In 1820 the islands were empty, there were competing claims from Spain, Britain and the United Provinces of Rio de la Plata. We all knew of each others claims and all knew without a working community each claim was irrelevant. Therefore there is no “inheritance” argument. Remove that from negotiations.

In 1820, the United Provinces were over 1200 miles from the islands, so the idea of continental plates and geographic proximity were also a nonsense, only after your 1860 conquest (genocide) of Patagonia did Argentina become so geographically close to the islands (so remove that from negotiations)

We are quite happy to talk about Luis Vernet with you, and his business which he sought our permission to start and we permitted in 1828, we know you've claimed that as an “Argentine community”, but we didnt recognise it as such in 1828-31 and don't now, we saw it as a private enterprise and compensated Mr Vernet at the time for his losses due to the Lexington raid.

We are also happy to talk about the Argentine attempt to seize the islands by force in October 1832, we warned you not to, and had to force you ship the SS Sarandi to leave the islands 10 weeks after it arrived. A shameful 10 weeks where your crew mutinied and murdered your proposed Governor.

We can talk about the discussions we had with you in the 1970s and 80s, where unfortunately the Falkland islanders were not open to sovereignty of their home being taken by Argentina.

We can talk about your illegal invasion in 1982 and 50 years of lying and bullying the islanders.

We can laugh at your pathetic sovereignty claims and rewriting of historic fact and remind you that in our view sovereignty choices lie with the islanders alone...and we will always defend their choices.

    Best regards

    UK

Trimond’s posts are a classic example of someone one ‘on speed‘ (amphetamine sulphate for one), or similar narcotics.

A series of long, rambling, idiotic and completely unconnected statements, as far as you are concerned however it all makes perfect sense to him.

You will notice it is impossible for him to answer any points coherently or even to stay vaguely on topic.

Neither can he answer with a sentence, it has to be at least a paragraph or two so as to be able to include all the connected rubbish in his head.

When he puts finger to keyboard what you get is a ‘brain dump’.

LOL, what insufferably pedantic self delusions of righteousness one has to put up with here, and with bigoted disparaging undertones noless ! “It is easier for a rich man to go through the eye of a needle than for someone groomed by English ideas to respect another nation” Jesus should have said.
First of all, Argentina does not lie, Argentina and Uruguay, the former United Provinces were active on the islands when as Stupidname said, “the islands were empty”, they were politically active in Buenos Aires about the islands and started sending people to eventually form a settlement when Britain had not achieved any active formalized sovereignty on the islands, who as you said was (actually challenging Spain) for the islands, proven by the fact that they abandoned the islands, assigning the issue to their military while Spain continued with the assignation of governors with continued uninterruptedly with the assignation of governors born in Buenos Aires. Argentina never said their inheritance was formalized, it is based on the fact that already Buenos Aires, today's Argentine capital, had been assigned administration of the islands in 1776 by Spain. I love watching how much you all want to put this on Vernet's shaddy smarts, but the fact is that he is irrelevant in the political claim, otherwise Argentina would not have tasked him with the creation of a settlement, and even though Argentina was about half it's current size, it still was the nearest civilization, empire and country to the islands. It is also today accepted that the British were not the first ones to sight the islands nor to map them, look it up, I have to go to work now. And do try to stop thinking and acting like the world is all about you and everyone else beneath you, not that I care so much how hate worthy that makes you look. It's just one of the reasons most of our wars exist today. PS America may today be made up of many immigrants, but all you have to do is see a session of Congress to see YOU

Pat the Rat is right for once. Vernet is indeed irrelevant, as is the attempts by Buenos Aires to seize the islands in 1829.

Britain had arrived in 1765, and after 1771 never again left. Spain was fully aware of British rights to the western islands, which is why Spain only claimed the Island of Soledad in 1811, when it withdrew its garrison.

    https://falklandstimeline.files.wordpress.com/2018/09/88740.pdf

Spain maintained that claim until 1863 meaning that, if there was any usurpation by the British, it was of Spanish rights. Spain accepted this reality in 1863.

Not only was Vernet irrelevant to any question of sovereignty, so was, and is, Argentina.

The dispute was between Britain and Spain.

    Argentina is not Spain.

Argentina was never in the game.

    Juan Pervantes...
SUCK MY COCK YOU ARROGANT LYING LITTLE FRUIT CAKE-
    .
Roger Lorton, see... you are wrong about that and let me tell you why:
When Britain tried to invade Buenos Aires in 1806 and 1807 it was Spain who it was attacking logistically speaking, but the ones who defended themselves were the people who became Argentinians in 1810-16. We WERE very much Spain when the islands were being administered from Buenos Aires and later Montevideo. During the same time, many of those people who became Argentinians were the soldiers, now a bit older veteran folks from when we expelled Britain from Port Egmont in 1771. Some of those men even went on to fight for the United Provinces in its Peru Campaign. When we broke from Spain, Malvinas came with us as part of Buenos Aires' and later Montevideo's jurisdiction, then Montevideo yielded them back to Buenos Aires, and Spain clearly accepted all this as it could have very easily taken the islands back from us, after all Britain had abandoned the islands, but it didn't. And yes stop lying, Britain DID LEAVE THE ISLANDS AS A CONSCIOUS CHOICE KNOWING WELL SPAIN AND BUENOS AIRES SAW THEM AS THEIRS. Later Spain left the islands understanding they would become part of the new emerging nation in BsAs, with a very long overlap in which it did nothing about Argentinian activities on the islands. In fact as you well know, patriots counted on prisoners on the islands to come fight Spain for Argentina. Argentinians were born on the islands, travel between Buenos Aires and the islands for all sorts of supplies were constant etc etc So for you to make stupid claims like “Argentina was never in the game” reflects not just ignorance, but something deeply sad about you in my view, well ... not just about you alone.

You people are not here really debating or arguing about the islands complete history. All you do is try to shove your egocentric bigoted narrative down people's throats as if no other country's history were involved.

We can debate about the islands complete history. But you are too stupid to understand it.

Spain controlled the islands, nobody disputes that
Britain has a historic settlement, nobody disputes that
Both left voluntarily, nobody disputes that.

You claim the newly formed United Provinces could claim the islands as theirs, even though they were empty and nobody from the United Provinces had ever been there, we dispute this inheritance argument. Had Spain left its settlement on the islands and those people clearly expressed a wish to be Argentine or Uruguayan ok, but there was nobody to declare self determination. You lose that one.

Argentina may have wanted to populate the islands between 1820-28 but it abjectly failed to do so, even then Argentina knew (although you stupidly now deny it) that without a population a sovereignty claim is worthless, yes, this makes Britain's historic claim worthless too,

Between 1828-31 there was a Vernet's business, again you claim it as an Argentine settlement, odd Vernet did not, nor did Britain recognise it as such as the time, anyway by 1831 it had failed and we were back to all but empty islands.

Where we do agree is that Argentine sent a militia in October 1832, who claimed the islands for the United Provinces and raised the flag....an odd thing to do if (as you claim) the islands had been Argentine for at least 11 years. Britain saw this militia as a clear attempt by Argentina to claim the islands and removed it.

190 years later a prosperous island community flourishes. They have sovereignty, not Britain, their choices are followed.

I am sorry all the above is too complicated for you tiny brain.

These guys are the textbook me-firsters, the ones who think the rules don’t apply to them, the ones who tell themselves as long as she doesn’t know, there’s no harm done. No woman needs to sleep with these guys. There are so many single self-absorbed narcissists who will fuck you poorly.”
    —Julie Klausner

“Narcissistic people are always struggling with the fact that the rest of the world doesn’t revolve around them.” —Unknown

Posting messages to someone who has never been on this site is a sure an indicator that you’re a malignant narcissist.

Moreover, what you say about others says more about yourself.

“How positively you see others is linked to how happy, kind-hearted and emotionally stable you are, according to new research. In contrast, negative perceptions of others are linked to higher levels of narcissism and antisocial behavior.”

The malignant narcissist lies again, as they all do.

“The link between malignant narcissism, racism and fascism
Narcissism was linked to fascism by the father of bioenergetic therapy, Alexander Lowen, in his book, “Narcissism — Denial of the True Self.” It’s about a warped relationship to power and authority.
Malignant narcissists also have no love of nature. They see nature as something to be exploited, so they can use it to gain wealth. They are greed-driven patriarchal misogynists.
    “When the Narcissist Fails
When things begin to sour for the narcissist here is what we can expect: They will try to first misdirect us or claim there is nothing to the allegations. If evidence is presented, they will seek to have it invalidated or claim that it is false.
Any evidence presented, and those that present it will be attacked vindictively. The better the evidence the more aggressive the attack. The narcissist will engage enablers to simultaneously attack those who offer proof or evidence, even if it embarrassingly exposes their behavior as that of spineless sycophants.
Lies are always the number one tool of the MN. The lies increase to the point of incredulity.
Some will hound, stalk, those they deem responsible.
That is when we have to worry the most. One of note, was to— to make Germany great again.

“Skippy however has a special place in HELL”

Well, your obsession is never going to know since he has never been on this site.

“One of the biggest misconceptions about psychopaths and malignant narcissists who have psychopathic traits is the idea that they are lashing out from pain when they engage in aggressive behavior. Nothing could be further from the truth. The defining characteristic of a psychopath is their tendency to engage in what is known as instrumental aggression (Glenn & Raine, 2009). Instrumental aggression is deliberate aggression waged against a victim for the purpose of fulfilling an agenda or getting some sort of reward. This type of aggression, also known as proactive or predatory aggression, is planned, premeditated, and often unprovoked by their victims; it is controlled, purposeful, and used to achieve personal gain, usually an external goal like money, social status, fame, drugs, the maintenance of their self-image, the fulfillment of grandiose fantasies, or even sadistic pleasure derived from the act of inflicting pain.”
Such egosyntonic aggressive responses are not the same as reacting to suffering. Rather, these responses stem from their excessive sense of entitlement, a false sense of superiority, pathological envy, a need for revenge (even when no revenge is warranted), and callous self-centeredness. As researchers Goldner-Vukov and Jo Moore (2010) note, malignant narcissists in particular “are deeply envious of people.

    “POOR SKIPPY”

I don’t believe anyone is going to accept your opinion, as a proven liar.

    “Lies, Self-Deception, and Malignant Narcissism
Malignant narcissists are messianic precisely because of their massive grandiosity. But it is essential to note that this narcissistic grandiosity is compensation for and massive defense against the very same deeply seated feelings of inferiority found in the narcissist's followers. The narcissist has almost invariably been deeply wounded, betrayed, abandoned, neglected, rejected during childhood, and spends his or her adult life trying to fend off such feelings via the constant acquisition of narcissistic supplies the same way the person suffering from addiction seeks out the substance despite the negative consequences for doing so”.

The most common way narcissists create alternative narratives is by projecting. If they say that the other person is jealous of them, then you know that the narcissist is jealous. If they say that the other person was lying and cheating, they were the one lying and cheating. But more often than not whatever the narcissist is presenting the other person as is a much more accurate description of the narcissist. The mechanism here is that in the narcissists mind they try to attribute their own unhealthy behavior, perspective, and character traits to the other person because it shifts attention and responsibility from them. And if the other person is all these bad things, then it can’t be that I am these things thinks the narcissist I’m the good guy here.

“Study by US Varsity Finds Schadenfreude, Narcissism Among Many Dark Traits of Internet Trolls

Researchers at Brigham Young University published a paper in the Journal of Social Media and Society shedding light on the motives and personality characteristics of internet trolls. For their study, the group of researchers ran an online survey on 400 Reddit users. Concluding the survey results, the researchers found that most of the trolls exhibited dark triad personality traits which include narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy, combined with schadenfreude which is a German word for those who derive pleasure from another’s misfortune. People with these behavioural traits were most likely to be online trolls.”

The Most Blatant Signs of a Malignant Narcissism
    1. A Sense of Entitlement
    2. An Exaggerated Sense of Self-Importance
    3. Preoccupation with Fantasies of Power
    4. Grandiosity
    5. Paranoia
    6. Egocentricity
    8. Cruel and Sadistic
    process.
    10. Projection
Projection is when someone transmits their actions onto someone else.
This leads narcissists to avoid recognizing their own shortcomings by attributing them to other people.
They may be aware that these shortcomings exist, but they would never admit them. They simply insist that everyone else is guilty of doing what they’re doing.
    11. Requires Excessive Admiration
While it certainly doesn’t seem like it, malignant narcissists have extremely fragile self-esteem.
    14. Envious of Others
Malignant narcissists often resent other people’s successes or possessions because they feel more deserving of these things.
    15. They Easily Lash Out
Because narcissists have hyper-sensitive and fragile egos, they have to convince people that they are always right.
    17. They Seek to Win at All Costs
The worst part of trying to win at all costs is that it usually involves cheating or hurting other people. However, this doesn’t bother malignant narcissists.
    19. Deceitfulness
Additionally, many will become enraged if their lies are challenged by truth or facts.
    25. Insecure Attachments
Narcissists want to have followers, but because they have a deep-seated low self-esteem
