No one is going to build a battery or even Lithium refining plant in Argentina, probably not even the Chinese, the country is way too unstable and ill-equipped.
Can’t see Argentina being able to do it for themselves either.
It’s a fine idea, have the manufacturing done where the lithium is extracted, works for the country, however certain thing have to be in place in the country for that to even be a possibility.
And in Argentina nothing is in place and nothing works, is the uncomfortable truth.
Look at the Saudis, in the beginning they did not export refined petroleum products, just the crude oil.
If they nationalise it, they will struggle even in just extraction, despite the current demand for Lithium worldwide, Argentina won’t be making any money from it.
