Authorities in the port of Mar del Plata have started administrative proceedings against the Panama-flagged Frio Marathon frozen cargo ship stemming from Stanley in the Falkland/Malvinas Islands without an Argentine permit. The vessel had been sailing the archipelago since 2014 and could now face a high fine, it was explained. Read full article

This is the kind of harrassment Argentina uses on anything Falklands. Now is the time to repatriate the war dead. Make a statement that we will not tolerate this continued embargo and then let them dictate to us how we should conduct businesses.
They are a total bunch of pirates trying to steal the islands from the people.
    Where is the world order.
Time those Argentines were firmly put in their place. They have no authority over the high seas and absolutely no authority over our fisheries zone.
The UN are not likely to do anything either because they are as devious and corrupt as Argentina.
It is up to us the islanders to do something about it. This has to stop. So send back their war dead no questions asked. Shut the door firmly on any future visits untill they stop this illegal claim.

Strange really that they've imposed fines on 371 ships with “37 flags, including those under registers administered by the United Kingdom, indirectly recognized Argentina's sovereignty”.

If that were the case you'd have thought they might have mentioned it before now.

I've certainly never seen any mention of this

But then maybe the Argentines include fines for customs errors etc in these figures or fines imposed on the fishing boats of their mates the Chinese.

    Whatever

Perhaps the Argentine 'authorities' would care to list the names of those ships, the fines imposed, why they were imposed and whether they were ever paid.”.

I'll wait. (for a long time I rather expect).

    Taenk
Argentina has no authority over the Falkland Islands. Never has and never will.
They illegally claim the islands with no solid proof whatsoever.
This could be sorted out once and for all, but Argentina would never accept the final ruling. They will always harass us because they have indoctrinated their people to believe they own the islands.
They are truly a bunch of greedy land grabbing pirates , who actually invaded south America and got away with it.
They need firmly stopping by whatever means. It is the only way to bring peace to the region.
Argentina is a very unstable country right now and the Falklands is really all they now have to keep their economy alive. They are financially ruined and have deceived their people along the way.
The writing has been on the wall for a very long time and they know it.
Regime change will not even save it now.
So they resort to piracy against other countries ships in an effort to make Britain give to them these islands that as already said has never belonged to them.
And you Teank are one of those indoctrinated losers who support them.
Time you had a reality check.

Just shows whst little education Taenk has. Always copying and pasting to make content for his replies. One very deluded puppet of a lost cause.
He forgot to mention one other penalty in his repetition campaign.
If you speak out against corruption or do busines that Argentina dont like, you run the real risk of joining the thirty thousand disappeared.
Maybe that is why they dont like ships motoring past their sea boundary. Scared they might churn up some evidence.
I observe a great deal that goes on inside Argentina and it is not good.
The repetitive regimes running the country have virtually bankrupted it.created some of the biggest debts by any country in the world, has almost half its population in poverty, has young Argentines leaving the country in droves , still bullying the innocent. Are now so desperate they are becoming dangerous to even consider doing business with.
What allowed this once great stolen land to be so destroyed.
Likely because of people like Taenk who think their way is best.
Argentina is almost on the brink of no return and they know it so they are trying to make themselves known by harassing other countries ships.
Chances are that particular ship did have clearance to call into Argentina but when they realised where it had been they did what they always do, make a big song and dance out of it to attract attention because otherwise no one bothers to listen to them anymore.
    Such losers.

Someone should explain to the PNA that trying to impose a blockade, however unsuccessfully, is not an exercise of sovereignty it is an act of war.

If they exercised sovereign control over the territory, they wouldn’t need to blockade it.

The Islanders are wise to plan the future with no involvement whatsoever of Argentina, only continued attempts at harassment by Argentina.

What seems to upset the Malvinazi contingent the most is when you point out that Argentina not only has no control or influence in the region, but is in fact totally irrelevant, no Argentina no problem.

Certainly the case with El Tufo, who hates to be reminded of Argentina’s impotence and irellivance.

The MP base keeps Argentina within its 200nm continental limit, leaving the S. Atlantic to develop unhindered.

Shine on Falklands and watch them foam at the mouth in BA.

It would be important for South American navies to carry out systematic and daily patrols to the north of the islands in order to identify and fine all fishing vessels that do not have a fishing authorization from the Argentine Republic.

Inconvenient truths of the Islas Malvinas # 21

Argentina owns the Argentina sea, and its continental shelf, where the Islas Malvinas and the Achipelago sits, Mr Spencer.

Argentina's authorities monitoring the area pleases me very much, and I am not talking about the ships coming or going to Malvinas, but the ships from other countries that illegally fish in out seas. I think your comment is correct, Brasileiro, that is what we South American should do.

Tank, I totally agree with you. It's funny that the British Government asks for visas for us to visit our own islands, and they complain when ships trading with them get fined for not having the necessary paperwork needed according to Argentina maritime commerce rules. You can't have it both ways.
By the way, I have decided to add the name of our beloved Malvinas Argentinas to my user name.

No, The MP base keeps Argentina within its 200nm continental limit, where it belongs.

Argentina neither controls nor owns anything beyond this limit, in the real world anyway.

And where UNGA resolution 1514 give the Islanders (the inhabitants) the right to self-determination and the right to ‘freely dispose of their natural wealth and resources’.

Stopping illegal fishing in your EEZ certainly should be a high priority for you and you can do that, it is within your capabilities.

A much higher priority for you than trying illegally annex British territory in the S. Atlantic, which you are never going to be able to do.

Things are starting to look even darker for my quarrelling Argentine neighbors:

“...Argentina was ordered to pay at least $8.4 billion in damages and $7.6 billion in interest in a US lawsuit over its 2012 re-nationalization of state oil company YPF SA, a sharp blow as the Latin American country’s financial situation has grown increasingly precarious...”

    “MalvinasArgentinas H&G rights”

You are without doubt the most valuable poster on these forums.

You started with recanting the “Malvinas myths” believing that these forums would accept them in the same way as your “echo chamber” in Argentina.

Sadly, one by one, each myth was deconstructed and shown to either be irrelevant, non-factual, ambiguous or downright false. We have heard all about evictions that never happened, Papal Bulls (hit), Spanish inheritance before.....all nonsense.

You have now descended into out right nationalism and propaganda. Which of course is the true basis of the Malvinas myth.

I congratulate you, in 21 posts you have manged to beautifully display the folly, ignorance and childish basis of the Malvinista claim. Well done.
