The best way to respect the fallen is to highlight the lie on which they were sent to fight, the Malvinas myth that they have been sold. Then learn from it, and never do it again.

Is interesting to see you all frustrated claiming ‘discovery and occupation’ and ignoring basic concepts of history and international law that you all know very well, but prefer to hide under layers of doubtful stories.
For example, it impossible for the former empire to ignore that the Malvinas sit in Argentina’s continental shelf.
The cherry-picking interpretation of the UN GA Charter is another example: Argentina didn’t acquire new territory in modern times, but maintained the territory as it was during the colonial period of time once it emancipated from Spain.
Similarly, self-determination doesn’t apply to the current inhabitants of the islands, since they ARE British, not original people seeking independence: that would be us, fighting and protesting the invasion of Malvinas since 1833. And so, all your arguments, one by one, are debunked. The world knows this, and it is rallying to our support, because it is an anachronism to try to keep as a ‘British foreign territory’ Malvinas; this plainly is wrong, even if you try to disguise it as self-determination.

I deny that Argentina has not gained new territory, Patagonia was not part of the Spanish Empire and was acquired by Argentine genocide.
Your argument that after 180 years of habitation that someone cannot change their nationality would be seen as Fascist in most parts of the world and mean that 80%+ of Argentines are in fact not Argentine.
