Uruguay's Senate unanimously voted Wednesday to expel Gustavo Penadés as a member after he was handed down 180 days of pre-trial detention for his alleged involvement in 22 sexual crimes, it was announced in Montevideo. Read full article

Only 22 crimes? That explains it, he didn't have sufficient amount to maintain membership in the Senate.
