The United Nations (UN) Security Council Wednesday rejected by 12 votes to one and two abstentions Brazil's proposal of humanitarian pauses in the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian extremist group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, Agencia Brasil reported. Read full article

Twelve of the fifteen voted in favor of the proposal. Of the three who did not vote in favor, two abstained (UK and Russia) and only one voted against, USA.
