I believe that Argentina will be watching this dispute closely.
I wonder if they have worked out the wording of their own referendum.
I believe it would be along the lines of.
“Are The Malvinas part of Argentina?” or maybe “Should Argentina retain it's posession of The Malvinas”.

Venezuela like Argentina are two of the richest nations on earth and which just throw that wealth away to the detriment of their population which could be really wealthy.
Venezuela with its fantastic reserves once IMPORTED OIL from Iran!
It would be much better if they didn't waste their time trying to get hold of more oil rich lands which do not belong to them but even if they had them they would be wasting that wealth as all the rest just like Argentina.
I would say make ALL your present wealth count Argentina and Venezuela and shut up

“Venezuela claimed more than half of the territory of the British colony of Guyana at the time of the Latin American wars of independence. Guyana argues that the boundary between the nations was clarified in the Arbitral Award of 1899 signed by Guyana, whereas Venezuela called the award an ”Anglo-Russian conspiracy“. In 1962 Venezuela declared that it would no longer abide by the arbitration decision”

No, it's part of Chile. The Argentines strongarmed the Chileans into ceding it to them when the Bolivians and Peruvians were both at war with Chile. Brave, brave Gauchitos!
