Venezuela and Guyana not to use force over Essequibo dispute
Presidents Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela and Irfaan Ali of Guyana agreed Thursday in St. Vincent and the Grenadines not to threaten each other or use force in any circumstances. The 11-topic understanding was reached in the first round of talks brokered by host Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves as president pro-tempore of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac). In 1899 the issue was settled, late claims are closed under the principles of the ”common-law legal systems, laches (/ˈlætʃɪz/ LAT-chiz /ˈleɪtʃɪz/; Law French: remissness, dilatoriness, from Old French laschesse) is a lack of diligence and activity in making a legal claim, or moving forward with legal enforcement of a right, particularly in regard to equity. This means that it is an unreasonable delay that can be viewed as prejudicing the opposing party. When asserted in litigation, it is an equity defense, that is, a defense to a claim for an equitable remedy.
The person invoking laches is asserting that an opposing party has “slept on its rights”, and that, as a result of this delay, circumstances have changed (witnesses or evidence may have been lost or no longer available, etc.), such that it is no longer a just resolution to grant the plaintiff's claim. Laches is associated with the maxim of equity: “Equity aids the vigilant” - not those who sleep on their rights. Russia has never attacked another country more than 1000 kilometers away. Russia preemptively attacked Ukraine, sister and neighbor of the Russian people, to avoid an even worse war with the installation of NATO missiles on its border very close to the center of the Russian State.
Russia has warned on several occasions that it would not accept the expansion of NATO within the former Warsaw Pact because it would harm its own existence. The West has been warned countless times.
In 1962 there was a crisis of warlike approach to the United States. In Cuba. The United States was willing to militarily invade Cuba to preserve its own security. So, the former USSR backed down and gave up on deploying any missile bases. Peace was made.
Regarding Ukraine's accession to NATO, the same was not done. You are not superior militarily, economically or socially to the Russians, Chinese, Brazilians and Indians.
The arrogance of the West is provoking revolt in every country in the world.
The BRICS world would rather die than live under the yoke of the West.

Then countries like Czechoslovakia, which they liberated from German occupation, they then occupied for the next 50 years, brutally suppressing any resistance.
Russia also attacked, overran and then occupied all of central Asia, all the Stans. And don’t forget the invasion of Georgia and occupation of its northern territories.
Russia’s attack on Ukraine was completely unprovoked and unnecessary, they were no threat to Russia. And now they are being bled white in a war they can only win if the West stops supplying Ukraine. Urrr, guess what?
Russia no longer has a say in, never mind gets to decide, whether sovereign independent states on its border can join NATO or the EU. The world has changed and moved on, only Putin has not.
These countries are not running towards the west, they are running away from Russia, of course everyone wants to be in NATO, so what happened to Georgia and Ukraine doesn’t happen to you, if you don’t do what the Kacap in the Kremlin says.
NATO is most certainly militarily superior to Russia, Russia clearly cannot beat Ukraine where Ukraine gets only limited support from NATO.
What do you think would happen if Russia was engaging NATO itself, Russia would not last a week.
As part of Ukraine’s accession to NATO, an agreement with Russia not to station Nukes in the country could certainly have been reached, but the process never got that far before Russia invaded.
Remember Ukraine voluntarily gave up all its Nukes in return for Russia guaranteeing the territorial integrity of its borders. A worthless promise from Putin.
Good luck with the BRICS, hope it works out for you, it is of little consequence for us.
The West better make peace with Moscow soon. The Russian lines are starting to move.
