The administration of President Javier Milei is planning not to renew the contracts of some 7,000 state workers, which would add to the hardships many Argentine families are going through amid deep reforms to recover from the country's current crisis, it was reported in Buenos Aires. This is encouraging that 2 million people would be left redundant after Milei announced a halt in all public works.

    My Argentine neighbors need to face their insane spending, just as Chile faced in 1973.

    Meanwhile, I've escaped with my two oldest grandchildren to the farm to harvest nectarines and plums.

    I plan to return to La Dehesa with them, this afternoon...

    Our Christmas was highly enjoyable, but was tedious with too much celibations.

    I hope all the MP readership had a wonderful holiday.

    So, millions are set to lose their scams/Gov handouts.

    That has got to be a big cost saving, but is inevitably going to upset a lot of people, who have probably had it easy for a long time.

    Needs to happen if the country is ever going to function properly.

    “just as Chile faced in 1973.”

    Conveniently ignoring the elephant in the room, and Nixon`s admonishment to “make the economy scream”

    “Previously declassified documents demonstrated that the U.S. undoubtedly helped set the stage for the coup by supporting Allende’s opposition, fomenting strikes, advocating for an invisible economic blockade, and actively intervening in copper markets on which Chile relied for most of its income.”
    The Dallas Morning News, Sep 9, 2023

    ”Fifty years after Chile’s coup, the region still not safe from US meddling
    Destructive US efforts to control its ‘back yard’ continue to this day.

    Since former US President James Monroe effectively announced a protectorate over the Western Hemisphere in December 1823, known as the Monroe Doctrine, the US has been interfering in nations across Latin America, often in pursuit of its own interests, but always under the guise of protecting democracy and human rights in its “backyard”.

    The 1973 coup in Chile was one such intervention.

    Official documents and telephone call transcripts that were declassified and made public over the years paint a clear picture of how Washington worked to ensure Allende’s downfall ever since he scored a narrow victory in the September 8, 1970, presidential election.

    “the 1973 coup in Chile was a grand liberation”

    Whereas, all those that supported it are traitors to their country, in proffering aims of a foreign country. While the reality was.

    ”C.I.A. Is Linked to Strikes In Chile That Beset Allende

    WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 —The Central Intelligence Agency secretly financed striking labor unions and trade groups in Chile for more than 18 months before President Salvador Allende Gossens was overthrown, intelligence sources revealed today.

    They said that the majority of more than $8‐million authorized for clandestine C.I.A. activities in Chile was used in 1972 and 1973 to provide strike benefits and other means of support for anti‐Allende strikers and workers.

    Among those heavily subsidized, the sources said, were the organizers of a nationwide truck strike that lasted 26 days in the fall of 1972, seriously disrupting Chile's economy and provoking the first of a series of labor crises for President Allende.

    Direct subsidies, the sources said, also were provided for a strike of middle‐class shopkeepers and a taxi strike among others, that disrupted the capital city of Santiago in the summer of 1973, shortly before Mr. Allende was over thrown by a military coup.

    At its peak, the 1973 strikes involved more than 250,000 truck drivers, shopkeepers and professionals who banded together in a middle‐class movement that, many analysts have concluded, made a violent overthrow inevitable.”

    In the case of narcissists, because they’re unable to see these things inside themselves they have to project them on other people. Because they’re unable to be accountable and responsible for their stuff, they have to project it onto other people.
    Projection is a combination of misdirection and blame-shifting. They’re diverting and distracting you from what is really going on and they’re getting you to take responsibility for it in some way. On the surface that’s what they seem to think is going on. But, if you learn to read the narcissist instead of just taking everything personally, you’re going to see how valuable their projections are for revealing who they are and what they’re doing.
    The narcissist accuses you of lying because the narcissist is a pathological liar.”

    “Narcissistic Abuse and Complex PTSD
    Narcissists often employ unrelenting tactics—deflection, projection, and rationalization—because they are committed to misunderstanding and discrediting you. Their intent is to overwhelm your nervous system,

    In ”How to Humiliate an Absolute Narcissist,“ Jeremy E. Sherman writes, “Being an absolute narcissist takes discipline of a peculiar kind, the discipline to be completely undisciplined, no consistency in their relentless and bogus rationalizations, the discipline to say in response to everything 'that proves I’m right,' with no attention to reality, or the meaning of the things they say, since all that matters is keeping up the appearance of winning.”

    ”13 Common Behaviors and Values of Narcissistic People

    Characteristics of Narcissists:

    * Shun introspection
    * Lack empathy
    * Become hypersensitive to slights
    * Act impulsively
    * Spoil others’ good moods
    * Deny or hide mistakes
    * Are driven by fear
    * Blame others
    * Stonewall or withdraw when upset
    * Get enraged when criticized
    * Pursue win-lose strategies
    * Hold grudges
    * Have one-way relationships
    Narcissistic behaviors such as those listed above are generally designed to disguise insecurities. Some behaviors, like avoiding introspection, denying mistakes, stonewalling, or blaming others, seek to shine the spotlight away from a narcissist's perceived flaws.

    Others, such as spoiling others' good moods, holding grudges, and being hypersensitive to slights and criticism, are designed to put others on the defensive in hopes that others will be less likely to challenge a narcissist's fragile ego and shaky self-image.”

    ”The true self

    The true self (also known as real self, authentic self, original self and vulnerable self) and the false self (also known as fake self, idealized self, superficial self and pseudo self) are a psychological dualism conceptualized by English psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott. Winnicott used “true self” to denote a sense of self based on spontaneous authentic experience and a feeling of being alive, having a real self with little to no contradiction. “False self”, by contrast, denotes a sense of self created as a defensive façade, which in extreme cases can leave an individual lacking spontaneity and feeling dead and empty behind an inconsistent and incompetent appearance of being real, such as in narcissism.

    Characteristics
    In his work, Winnicott saw the “true self” as stemming from self-perception in early infancy, such as awareness of tangible aspects of being alive, like blood pumping through veins and lungs inflating and deflating with breathing—what Winnicott called simply being. Out of this, an infant begins to guarantee that these elements are constant, and regards its life as an essential reality. After birth, the baby's spontaneous, nonverbal gestures derive from that instinctual sense, and if responded to kindly and with affirmation by the parents, become the basis for the continuing development of the true self.

    However, when what Winnicott was careful to describe as good enough parenting—i.e., not necessarily perfect—was not in place, the infant's spontaneity was in danger of being encroached on by the need for compliance with the parents' wishes/expectations. The result could be the creation of what Winnicott called the “false self”, where “other people's expectations can become of overriding importance, overlaying or contradicting the original sense of self, the one connected to the very roots of one's being”. The danger he saw was that ”through this false self, the infant builds up a false set of relationships, and by means of intro

    The danger he saw was that “through this false self, the infant builds up a false set of relationships, and by means of introjections even attains a show of being real”, while, in fact, merely concealing a barren emptiness behind an independent-seeming façade.

    The danger was particularly acute where the baby had to provide attunement for the mother/parents, rather than vice versa, building up a sort of dissociated recognition of the object on an impersonal, not personal and spontaneous basis. But while such a pathological false self stifled the spontaneous gestures of the true self in favour of a lifeless imitation, Winnicott nevertheless considered it of vital importance in preventing something worse: the annihilating experience of the exploitation of the hidden true self itself.“
    https ://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_self_and_false_self

    ”Alexander Lowen identified narcissists as having a true and a false, or superficial, self. The false self rests on the surface, as the self presented to the world. It stands in contrast to the true self, which resides behind the facade or image. This true self is the feeling self, but for the narcissist the feeling self must be hidden and denied.. But because of the denial, it cannot be expressed directly. Instead it shows up in the narcissist's acting out. And it can become a perverse force”
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_self_and_false_self

    “In narcissistic individuals, expressions of feeling usually take two forms: an irrational rage and a maudlin sentimentality. The rage is a distorted outbreak anger; the sentimentality is a substitute for love. Hitler might be described as a person without feeling, but he was known for his intemperate rages. I would call his love for the German pure sentimentality.”

    ”Narcissists Don't Love Themselves
    As children, they likely felt unloved or underappreciated. They probably felt like they were not worthy of love, all by themselves, because there was no unconditional love to be found. Presumably, they learned that in order to get attention, appreciation, and/or love they had to do something special, they couldn’t just be themselves and be loved. They were likely rejected in some way, and rather than believe that the rejection was actually because of the other person, they internalized the rejection. So, someone in that situation would think, if they’ve been rejected, it had to be because there was something wrong with themselves. They start to believe that they are unlovable.

    When you interact with a narcissist you are interacting with a projection, character, or mask that they have created that they think you will enjoy. They will cover up anything about themselves that they think you will dislike. They will paint themselves as a “victim” and someone else as a “persecutor” to keep from having to take responsibility for their actions.”

    Who's really jealous is:

    “Sociopaths lack decency, compassion, and care for anyone other than themselves. They may have a physical body, but they do not have a Soul. When one enters our life, we have a chance to learn and grow spiritually. They are all Pathological Liars, selfish, hateful, and cruel
    Sociopaths and narcissist lie about everything. They will lie just to lie..
    Even when there is no reason to lie, and the truth would be in their best interest, they will still lie. They don't care who they lie to, and what they lie about. There is no rhyme or reason behind the lies they tell.
    Cluster B Personality Disorders - are the most dangerous of disordered individuals. The most dangerous of the cluster B's is the Sociopath (Anti-social personality) and the Narcissist.
    The sociopath is by far the most dangerous because there is no functioning conscience. There is no moral compass. Yet the sociopath does know the difference between right and wrong, they just prefer to do what's wrong.
    All of the cluster B's are often deeply insecure. It is this insecurity that drives them to act in such horrific ways. Although the the sociopath and the narcissist display arrogance and a confident demeanor - it is just another lie that they are living and acting out. They ENVY everyone. They are jealous individuals. It is their sense of entitlement, that makes them act as if they are “owed” or “entitled” to whatever it is they desire.

    I love it, metaphorically I get to punch the living snot out of a lying egotistical want-a-be-bully; and show him to world as what he really is.

    Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is a pattern of self-centered and egotistical behavior that is destructive to others. … This egotistical behavior goes much further, they put their own needs before others and they tend to not only step on people that get in their way but actually go out of their way to crush/ruin/hurt them. At this time their is no cure for NPD and most people affected by this are not self aware to get help. They have no interest in changing and therefore they rarely seek counseling.

    19. An exaggerated sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
    20. Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
    21. Believes he/she is “special” and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
    22. Requires excessive admiration
    23. Has a sense of entitlement
    24. Selfishly takes advantage of others to achieve his own ends

    ”To a narcissist, everything is a game, and to win at the game, they must make themselves appear as both the victim and the hero. You will become the true victim of conspiracies that will escalate into false allegations that include everything they themselves have been doing all along – projection is a common action of a narcissist; these accusations will be executed with a jarring lack of empathy and you will wonder where the person is that you met. These claims will generate confusion because they will seem to be an alternate reality relative to what your life together was really like.

    One day, I decided to write down all the classic behaviors of a narcissist:

    Lying
    Lusting
    Pornography use
    Masturbation
    Cheating emotionally and physically
    Gaslighting
    Explosive anger
    Property damage – punching walls, throwing things
    Physical intimidation – yelling and spitting right in your face
    Hiding
    Being secretive
    Obsessing about perceived slights

    Why Do Narcissists Lie So Much?
    September 5, 2020 by Alexander Burgemeester
    ”… They lie about ... WHAT THEY HAD FOR DINNER.“

    “Narcissism and how to survive it

    Einstein said that the most dangerous people are those who believe in their own lies. So it is with narcissists they will look you straight in the eye and tell a complete lie. With most “normal” people you can tell if they are lying/fabricating or exaggerating too much, because they look a little uncomfortable. Not so with the narcissist they are extremely comfortable with their lies, because if their lie backfires on them they simply flatly deny that they told it and make up another one.” https://imgur.com/a/WDPeU

    Why Do Narcissists Lie So Much?
    September 5, 2020 by Alexander Burgemeester
    ”… They lie about ... WHAT THEY HAD FOR DINNER.“

    “As for poor Skippy”

    Stop playing with your projected alter ego(a person or entity vicariously liable for another)
    You know your de facto sock-puppet.

    I wouldn't want you to think I wasn't paying attention, but frankly I've had more interesting bowel movements.

    ”Narcissists are often ill-equipped to have mature discussions or resolve conflicts yet in their mind they are experts at it. As a result, they often use some terms, arguments, or techniques that they've heard about yet don't really understand, all while thinking that they are being rational, reasonable, or correct. Sometimes to the degree that they become extremely upset or even aggressive that you are being irrational, unreasonable, uneducated, and unwilling or unable to have a mature conversation.

    Meanwhile in reality, what they're saying is simply an incoherent rant or an amalgamation of logical and argumentation fallacies, misrepresentation of you, factual errors, emotional language, or pure nonsense (as in something that literally makes no sense). In more extreme cases it is called word salad, as in a mix of words that are just thrown together with no coherence or structure.”
