The lower house of Brazil's Congress passed a bill that allows the paving of highway BR319, which crosses the heart of the Amazon basin and which scientists and environmentalists claim threatens the future of the world's largest tropical rainforest. The right and extreme right dominate both Houses of the Brazilian Congress. And these political spectrums, made up of land grabbers, smugglers, illegal miners and criminal farmers, have an insatiable thirst for land. They look at the Amazon and see a chicken ready to be plucked. If the extreme right ever returns to power, say goodbye to the Amazon.

With President Lula's government, the deforestation rate fell 70% by October compared to 2022, the last year of Bolsonaro's Nazi government.

The resources allocated to the Amazon Fund will be used to reforest deforested areas, support inspection and finance sustainable projects.

The paving of BR-319 cannot happen. It is necessary to preserve the forest. The Brazilian left has become the Guardian of the Forest!

We hope that President Lula vetoes this PL (Bill) and uses his political strength to avoid overturning the veto.

If you want to keep the thieving, murdering Planters of European origin out of the forest, then just arm the native Indians.

A few thousand assault rifles and a few hundred NLAW and StarStreak missiles would make it a complete ‘no go zone’ even for the Brazilian military.

And you can’t ‘blockade’ the natives, they don’t actually need to import anything, they are completely self-sufficient.

Weapons could be supplied through Guyana and no one would know, least of all the Brazilians.

This is the fastest way to destroy the Amazon.

We, the Brazilian military, control everything that happens in the Amazon. Just see that when the new government took office on 01/01/2023, we immediately destroyed all illegal mining machines, arrested illegal loggers and miners (many were killed in combat with us), rescued and cared for the Yanomami.

I would tell you, Pugol, that not even a single ant can move around in the forest without us knowing (hyperbole).

You Westerners are way behind our Jungle technology.

As far as I am concerned you can pay your military a bounty for every logger/miner/settler/non-indigenous captured or killed in the forest area and let them go to work.

BTW the video is of skydiving, over fields, flat fields at that.

This is your military having fun, not practicing any kind of warfare.

The deterrence effect serves this purpose. We are not the strongest or the bravest. But, we have been able to keep Brazil at PEACE for 150 years.
