May be this new guy is a realist and knows the truth, and just goes through the motions of the Malvinas myth just to keep the fanatics at bay,

I totally agree with Mr Spencer!

The Argentines are brain washed about their Malvinas idiotic claims...

Javier Milei is a pragmatic realist.

    Saludos de Panquehue!

Question. How do the inhabitants of the Falkland Islands feel about being referred to as “Kelpers”. It seems a bit demeaning? No axe to grind here, just interested.

When you compare this meeting with the last such meeting between PM Johnson and Pres Ferna at the G7, where there were completely different and contradictory versions of events from the two sides, this is definitely progress.

Pres Miele can rightfully claim to have the Malvinas as an item on the agenda, which he can argue is progress.

Whilst the UK can rightfully claim to have used the item to reaffirm its long standing position on sovereignty and self-determination.

Which leaves the door open to progress in other matters, areas of mutual interest.

    Veteran.
We are affectionately and proud to be known as Kelpers and living the Kelpers dream. Have been often told, we are more British than the British.
That is how it is going to stay as well.

Has common sense finally prevailed in Buenos Aires, only time will tell, but it is a small step in the right direction.
