Nobel Prize in Physics awarded to artificial intelligence pioneers

Sweden's Royal Academy of Sciences announced Tuesday that it was granting the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics to John J. Hopfield and Geoffrey E. Hinton for their “discoveries and inventions in artificial intelligence” and “machine learning with artificial neural networks.” The distinction also represented a € 970,000 cheque. Read full article
