Rockhopper Exploration plc, the oil and gas company with key interests in the North Falkland Basin (“NFB”), has reported on the recent update published by Navitas Petroleum LP on Sea Lion development progress, which includes an updated NFB independent resource report conducted by Netherland Sewell & Associates (“NSAI”) (the “October 2024 NSAI Independent Report”) on behalf of Navitas.     The islanders don’t need this development to be prosperous and happy, but if it happens then there is in all likelihood 2 billion barrels of oil in the North Falklands basin.

    Is it wrong that I hope it’s developed just so that pickled turnip Think gets to see it before he drinks himself to an early grave?

    The Israelis seem keen to do it.
