One week after his latest abdominal surgery, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro remains in the ICU at DF Star Hospital in Brasilia. He is stable with controlled blood pressure and good clinical progress, but has no set discharge date.
Bolsonaro is on parenteral nutrition, undergoing intensive physiotherapy, and recently overcame a blood pressure issue. He was admitted on April 11 during a political tour related to an amnesty bill for the 2023 alleged coup attempt, for which he faces charges.
According to the latest medical report, Bolsonaro is still hospitalized and without a definite discharge date. In this regard, the physicians treating him described his clinical recovery as good, despite his staying in the ICU with restricted visits.
Bolsonaro continues on oral fasting, with exclusive parenteral nutrition and is intensifying daily motor physiotherapy and rehabilitation measures, the doctors explained. In addition, he overcame on Saturday an episode of blood pressure alteration.
- Sigo internado na UTI do Hospital DF Star, ainda em fase de recuperação após mais um procedimento cirúrgico. Tenho me mantido estável, com a pressão controlada e uma resposta clínica considerada positiva pelos médicos.

It was the sixth surgery Bolsonaro underwent in the part of his body where he was stabbed in 2018 during the presidential campaign.
In his Easter message, Bolsonaro celebrated the sacred day for Christians and expressed his wish that good may overcome, even amid pain and doubt.
This morning I had the dressing removed in the area of the central stitches for cleaning and checking the situation, in addition to a drainage on the left side of the abdomen, he said while commenting on a picture he published on social media. For now, I am still not taking oral nutrition, receiving intravenous nutrition, and doing daily and more intense physiotherapy sessions to speed up my recovery, he added.
Regarding Brazil's political asylum to former Peruvian First Lady Nadine Heredia, Bolsonaro wrote that not only does it shame our people, but attacks national dignity.
The corrupt convicted of money laundering and misappropriation of public funds began to be received as 'politically persecuted', transported by the Brazilian Air Force and welcomed with honors by a government that distorts the institution of asylum to show solidarity with those who steal from their own people, Bolsonaro underlined.
He also considered it unfortunate that Brazil's image abroad was being destroyed by those who should defend it, and that justice was being used as an instrument of revenge according to the whims and desires of one man.
This generates uncertainty and legal instability, undermines the credibility of the Judiciary and entails ever higher costs for our country. The world is becoming aware of this and is increasingly frightened by what it is discovering, Bolsonaro further noted.

Posted 3 hours ago 0This is just his latest ploy to prevent his going to prison for a long time.
He would have tried political amnesty but the mean courts will not allow him to have his passport back. I see that some of his relations have already tried this idea. Argentina and the USA have both, as yet, not given their reply to the Political Amnesty requests.
The Big B is still trying to get symapthy supporters out on the streets but the bus companies are no longer giving free transport to such numbers.
