Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Monday became Brazil's first octogenarian sitting president. Born on October 27, 1945, in Garanhuns (PE), Lula is going through his third presidential term, after serving consecutive mandates between 2003 and 2011. Read full article

    To be fair, age is not necessarily a disqualifier. Konrad Adenauer was West German chancellor for 14 years until he was 87 years old. He was effective, hard working and sharp during his entire tenure and presided over the (West-) German post war economic recovery to world competitive level. On the other hand, there was Biden . . .

    @ FortHay, 80 is far too old to be in charge of a country, Biden, and Trump both should have never been President, both of them have fell asleep on more than one occasion at official duties, 65 should be the limit, look at McConnell , although not President he was in a very powerful position, Adenauer was more off a one off,
