Impressive though the US military Campaign has been, it is apparent that if the Iranians blocking the straits of Hormuz was even considered, they were not prepared for it.
And to ‘declare victory’ now and walk away, leaving the Iranians in effective control of the straits of Hormuz, allowing their oil and gas out but not the Gulf states, Americas allies, and demanding reparations from them to do so, would be to hand Iran a big strategic victory.
A tactical victory but a complete fu*k up strategically.
