US President Donald Trump described Iran's response to Washington's latest proposal to end the war that has pitted the two countries against each other since 28 February as “totally unacceptable” on Sunday. “I have just read the response from Iran's so-called 'Representatives.' Well, it doesn’t take that long to decide to restate a previous position, even with people who regard show as important as substance.

Possibly it started as a document slightly more palatable to the US, however as it did the rounds of all decision makers it was changed to a more maximalist position.

Clearly Iran thinks that time is on their side, somehow, I doubt that, however we shall see.

Not ending anytime soon, that's for sure.
