An historically misleading statement worthy of Putin himself.

Whatever the origins of the war, it does not excuse, or justify what was done to Paraguay as a result.

Apart from the slaughter, where are the El Cristiano Cannon and the rest of the national archives, amongst other things robbed during the Sacking of Asunción, not to mention the provinces stolen by Brazil and Argentina.

    Not Brazil’s fines hour, Lula.

As for invading Uruguay, Brazil has invaded Uruguay what, four times now?

So, who are you defending against, or planning to attack next, with these new weapons, Lula, eh???
