Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva described his October 25 re-election as “a lesson for the world” and linked it to the electoral setbacks suffered in recent days by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump. “In the same week, Netanyahu lost in Israel and I think my friend Trump is losing in the United States,” he said on Thursday in a live broadcast on YouTube.

Lula, 81, spent an hour and a half on a livestream with congressman André Janones, the architect of the digital strategy that helped his electoral comeback, watched by some 600,000 viewers. “I am more afraid than in my first term,” he admitted. “My obsession is back: I cannot fail, I cannot betray them. I have to do better.” The president defended some of his priorities, such as ending online betting, the sovereign exploitation of critical minerals and the importance of the university entrance exam, and promised to find ways for people to take part in government decisions.

Lula said he would speak more often through social media. “I will speak more directly to the people through social media. I will no longer allow the press to interpret what I think,” he said. He also invited Janones to accompany him next week on his first official trip since re-election: the UN climate summit, COP31, in Turkey, and a summit with Southeast Asian countries in Manila.

In Israel’s October 27 election, Netanyahu’s bloc lost its parliamentary majority, winning 53 of the 120 seats, although his Likud party came first; Netanyahu has alleged fraud. In the United States, Democrats regained control of both chambers of Congress on Tuesday. Lula will begin his fourth term on January 5.

“you choose to ignore the fact that after Moro condemned ...”

“Put the US attorneys to work” (against Lula): Sergio Moro caught in new scandal
Supreme Court Minister Ricardo Lewandowski has lifted the confidentiality on conversations between prosecutors from Operation Lava Jato and ex-judge Sergio Moro, which were captured via a hack of the Telegram messaging platform in 2018
The new conversations were released to former President Lula’s defence team.
The material, ... which revealed Sergio Moro coaching the Lava Jato task force on how to present the case of the so called triplex in Guarujá, alleged to have belonged to former president Lula, for maximum political impact. It was the case which was used to keep Lula out of the 2018 election, which he was on course to easily win according to polls.
The latest release further emphasises that the Lava Jato Task force was acting concertedly against Lula, Dilma Rousseff, and the Workers Party, during the entire coup period between the 2014 and 2018 elections. This was happening in collaboration with U.S. government agencies and its expanded state.

    Hill,

Your insistence on seeing narratives created by Petistas, as the truth, is pathetic...You mention Lewandowski, as if he were qualified to hold a seat in the STF ....from mediocre PT lawyer, nine-fingers promoted him to the STF....far from being an eminent jurist, with a doubtful reputaion, it was him who decided, in flagrant disrespect of Clause # 52 of the Constitution, while presiding over Dilma's impeachment, to allow the abv mentioned clause to be divided into two votes, so that Dilma could retain her political rights...but that was OK, as it was done to favour a petista....it's what the left does...so to arrange narratives to overturn legally sound decisions (by Moro), to get what it wants, is child's play.

As for you, your claims prove you are a faithful communist who wears blinkers...

Regarding nine-fingers and the triplex / country house - “de um amigo meu” - there was ample legal documentation to tie nine-fingers to them.....but if you prefer to ignore that fact, and others, it's your problem.

You seem very concerned with “Moro coaching the Lava Jato task force ”, so what's your legal take on the fact that lawyers defending high-ranking petistas in the Banco Master case, were/are having secret, or unregistered meetings with the leftist ideologues within the STF ?
Just a rhetorical question, as it's obvious what you will reply.

You don't deny that such conversations in the revealed hack took place between Moro and the prosecutors.
Here is Moro's own words that show his absolute corruption.

”Presumption of innocence could not be regarded as an ‘absolute’,(Moro) he declared: it was merely a ‘pragmatic instrument’ that could be over-ridden at the will of the magistrate. Leaks to the media he celebrated as a form of ‘pressure’ on defendants, where ‘legitimate aims cannot be achieved by other methods.’“

”you are a faithful communist ...” No I am not. The only extremest is yourself.
