  “Clear similarities” between Boeing 737 crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia

  

  Black box data recovered from an Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed last week shows “clear similarities” with a recent crash in Indonesia of the same type of aircraft, Ethiopia's transport minister said on Sunday.

  FAA says Boeing 737MAX8 model is airworthy but US Transport Secretary calls for “appropriate action”

  

  The US Federal Aviation Administration has told airlines it believes Boeing's 737 Max 8 model to be airworthy, after two fatal crashes inside six months. An Ethiopian Airlines plane en route from Addis Ababa to Nairobi crashed six minutes after take-off on Sunday, killing all 157 people on board. The incident followed Lion Air 737 Max 8 crash in October that killed 189.

  China orders the grounding of all Boeing 737 MAX

  

  China's aviation regulator said on Monday (Mar 11) it had ordered Chinese airlines to suspend their Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operations by 6pm following a deadly crash of one of the planes in Ethiopia.

  Boeing facing serious questions following two crashes in five months of the 737 Max 8

  

  US plane maker Boeing faces questions after an Ethiopian Airlines 737 crash on Sunday killed all 157 people on board. It was the second crash in five months involving a 737 Max 8, the newest version of the plane. Comparisons are being drawn with a Lion Air accident last October where the plane lost altitude soon after takeoff.
