  Inmates of Brazilian prison riots transferred to other jails; drug gangs rivalry and fighting out of control

  

  Forty-six inmates involved in one of Brazil's deadliest prison riots were being transferred to other jails on Tuesday, an official said. At least 57 people were killed on Monday when fighting broke out between rival drug gang factions in the Altamira Regional Recovery Centre in the northern state of Para.

  Brazilian prison gang leaders moved to maximum security jails

  

  Brazilian Justice Minister Sergio Moro said on Tuesday that the prison gang leaders responsible for killing 55 inmates in prisons across the northern city of Manaus will be moved to maximum security federal jails.
