  At least seven people have been killed in one week in the Brazilian state of São Paulo due to heavy rains, Agencia Brasil reported Friday. Five of the victims belonged to the same family in the city of Araraquara.

  Award winning Brazilian television news anchor dies in helicopter crash

  

  An award-winning Brazilian television news anchor died on Monday when a helicopter carrying him crashed on one of Sao Paulo's main highways. Ricardo Boechat, a father of six, was returning from a university in the city of Campinas when the helicopter crashed onto a truck.
