The Rural Association of Uruguay presented on Monday the 121st edition of Expo Prado, the country's largest livestock, agro-industrial and commercial show, to be held from September 11 to 20 at the Prado showground in Montevideo. The event included the inauguration of the last of the venue's three historic sheds, rebuilt since 2023.

Uruguay's Industry Minister Omar Paganini Tuesday said during the traditional rural Expo Prado fair in Montevideo that his country was going through a second energy transition.

For the first time in almost three years, the International Livestock Exposition will return in a new edition that will be held as it was before the pandemic, without sanitary restrictions, and in the same place: the Rural del Prado in Montevideo.

For the eighth year, the United Kingdom participated in Montevideo's Expo Prado Show, annual international livestock and agricultural industry exhibition where the largest productive sector of the Uruguayan economy shows its muscle to the thousands of visitors and private and public exhibitors who turn up for each edition. This year is the second time that Ambassador Faye O'Connor has appeared at the opening of her country's pavilion, which will also house, once again, a Falkland Islands themed stand promoting industry and tourism.

As a “matter of courtesy” on Friday UK ambassador in Uruguay Faye O'Connor informed her Argentine peer, Alberto Iribarne that in the coming agribusiness show in Prado 2021 the Falkland Islands will have a stand.
