Reaffirming the close relationship and collaboration members from the Falkland Islands Development Corporation (FIDC) team led a coalition of Falkland Islands businesses for the inaugural Marketplace Expo during the International Association for Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) Annual meeting, which was held in late April, in Annapolis, Maryland, USA.

A delegation of Falkland Islands representatives is currently attending the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators, IAATO, Annual Meeting, (20/23 April), which also includes a Marketplace expo, at Annapolis, Maryland, United States

As of Monday April 6th the Falkland Islands will become a hub of conferences and workshops with the inauguration of the 2026 Economic Development Forum, prepared by the Falklands Chamber of Commerce and presented by the Falklands Development Corporation, FIDC, which will be looking ahead to the challenges from the oil and telecommunications industries and their transformative dynamics into the future.

The Falkland Islands Development Corporation (FIDC) has contracted U.K.-based maritime civil, structural, architectural, and environmental engineering services company Arch Henderson to conduct and provide the feasibility report for a marina in Stanley Harbor.

A Falkland Islands business delegation has just returned from a week in Chile, where they explored opportunities in sustainable energy, innovation and connections between the two countries.
