The Falkland Islands Government has twitted that last Thursday David Rutley MP, Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office Minister for the Americas and the Caribbean met with an elected member of the Falklands' Legislative Assembly.
The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office has updated its Travel Advice on Argentina. Among other issues, the TA points out that 126,548 British nationals visited Argentina in 2019 and most visits are trouble-free.
The United Kingdom's Departments for Transport and of Health and Social Care Thursday issued a joint press release announcing that the seven countries still on the travel red list, all of them from Latin America, would be removed from it shortly.
From 4 am on Monday 11 October, Uruguay will no longer be on the Red List for entering England. As to UK citizens planning to travel to Uruguay, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advise against all but essential travel to the whole of Uruguay based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks.
