The European Union (EU) has recognized Argentina as one of the few countries able to export high-quality beef under the “feed-lot quota” to the European market, a press release from the Argentine Foreign Ministry informed on Sunday.
The European Union and Argentina agreed to increase Argentina's lucrative Hilton Quota of high-end beef exports by 1,500 metric tons annually, according to a release in Buenos Aires from the Foreign Ministry late Wednesday.
Paraguayan meat sales increased 47% in value during the first four months of 2010 compared to the same period a year ago, totalling 295 million US dollars (USD), according to the country’s Food Quality and Animal Health Service, Senacasa.
