  Congratulations have poured in from around the world following the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son. The newborn was delivered at 05:26 BST on Monday, with Prince Harry saying the baby boy was “absolutely to-die-for”.

  The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child, Kensington Palace has announced. In a statement the palace said the duchess was suffering from severe morning sickness, as she did with her previous pregnancies, so a public engagement she had later on Monday had been cancelled.

  Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to a boy; third in the line of succession

  

  The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy, Kensington Palace has announced. The baby was delivered at 16:24 BST at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London, weighing 8lb 6oz.
