  ICAO agrees to review Venezuela's claim against Argentina regarding the Emtrasur freighter

  

  The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has agreed to review Venezuela's complaint against Argentina for seizing the Boeing 747-300 freighter belonging to Conviasa's cargo subsidiary Emtrasur and later handing it over to US authorities for scrapping. The aircraft was wanted by Washington because it had belonged to Iran's carrier Mahan Air and was said to be involved in logistics operations assisting terrorist attacks.

  US requests confiscation of Emtrasur's 747

  

  A District of Columbia Court Tuesday filed a request before Argentine authorities to confiscate the Venezuelan-Iranian Boeing 747-300 freighter aircraft grounded at Buenos Aires' Ezeiza international airport, it was reported.

  The Iranian government urged on Monday that Argentina must allow five Iranians who were part of the crew of a Venezuelan plane held in Buenos Aires to leave its territory.

  Chilean deputies create committee to investigate Conviasa A-340 flights

  

  Chile's Lower House Tuesday approved the creation of a special committee to investigate the case of the Airbus A-340-600 with Venezuelan registration YV-3533 bearing flag carrier Conviasa's colors which has reportedly landed around 13 times in Santiago this year, probably carrying Iranian passengers with unclear intentions, it was announced.
