A deranged young male visitor disguised as an old lady in a wheelchair threw a piece of cake at Leonardo Da Vicini's Mona Lisa painting at Paris' Louvre Museum
A replica of Leonardo Da Vinci's famous Mona Lisa has been sold for 2.9 million euros in an online auction, Christie's house announced. It was a record price for a reproduction.
Nearly 1.1 million people flocked to see a blockbuster Leonardo da Vinci exhibition at the Louvre in Paris before it closed on Monday - an all-time record - the museum said. The huge show to mark the 500th anniversary of the artist's death in France, drew twice the numbers of the previous biggest show at the world's most visited museum.
