By Robert Taylor - What springs to mind when you think of the Falklands? You might imagine the wild, windswept landscape, sparsely populated by the sheep-farming communities that have made the Islands their home for nearly 200 years.
Despite Philippines being some 10,000 miles away, Filipinos since recent years have become an increasing part of the Falkland Islands community. It is estimated that over 5% of the island's population are of Filipino origin.
The Falkland Islands celebrated last Saturday, March 12th, Multicultural Day, with massive participation from the different communities who participated in the event with a display of dance, music, food.
