  Argentine embassy thanks UK government efforts in locating the aircraft carrying Emiliano Sala

  

  Following the discovery of the plane carrying Argentine football player Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson on Sunday, the UK’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) issued a press release midday Monday reporting that “in video footage from the ROV, one occupant is visible amidst the wreckage” of the fuselage identified on the seabed.

  Wreckage from a plane carrying Cardiff City footballer Emiliano Sala has been discovered in the English Channel. The Piper Malibu N264DB was lost on 21 January on its way from Nantes, France to Cardiff, with the Argentine striker and pilot David Ibbotson on board.

  Search for missing plane carrying Cardiff City Argentine player Sala resumes

  

  The search for a missing aircraft that was carrying Cardiff City footballer Emiliano Sala will resume at sunrise. The Argentine striker, 28, was one of two people on board the plane which lost contact off Alderney in the Channel Islands on Monday night.
