  G20 Summit to push for regional vaccine producing coalition

  

  Brazil's Health Minister Nísia Trinidade Tuesday spoke in favor of creating a regional vaccine production coalition to avoid an encore of the setbacks experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic. She made those remarks during a press conference after a G20 Health Ministers' meeting in Rio de Janeiro ahead of next month's Summit, Agencia Brasil reported.

  Brazil: Over 5,000 deaths from dengue fever reported in 2024

  

  Brazilian authorities issued a bulletin attesting to 5,008 deaths due to dengue fever so far this year, Agencia Brasil reported. The total number was around fourfold that of the same period last year when 1,179 casualties were recorded. In addition, 2,137 deaths are still under investigation to determine whether they were caused by dengue.
