A controversial artificial sweetener is being removed from Diet Pepsi in the US amid consumer concerns about its safety. Aspartame-free cans of the drink will go on sale from August in America, but not in Britain. However regulators in the UK and the US insist aspartame is still safe to use in soft drinks.
Coca Cola has used their familiar and distinctive curved script since 1887 and since the 1920s their famous logo has been placed on a red background on the company's classic cola. But the soda brand is now going green, at least in Argentina.
Orange-juice futures rebounded from the biggest two-day slump since 2008 on renewed concern that a US government probe of imports from Brazil will tighten supplies. The Food and Drug Administration said it will detain all imports that contain carbendazim, a fungicide that isn’t approved for oranges in the US.
