  Falklands, growing hydrocarbons oil activity and funding for the Sea Lion oil project

  

  Rockhopper Exploration half year results indicate that the UK oil and gas company is more hopeful than ever that a final investment decision will come this year on the Sea Lion oil project in the Falkland Islands, after it secured a successful capital raise of up to US$ 140 milliom. Rockhopper holds a 35% interest in the project with the Israeli operator Navitas Petroleum holding the remaining 65%.

  Rockhopper Exploration plc (AIM: RKH), the oil and gas company with key interests in the North Falkland Basin (“NFB”), has announced it has put in place an insurance policy to cover the event that the Italian Republic succeeds in its attempt to have the Rockhopper Ombrina Mare Arbitration Award annulled and has also signed a share purchase agreement with Zodiac Energy Limited to exit its other Italian assets.

  Rockhopper Exploration South Falkland Basin licenses extended for two years

  

  Rockhopper Exploration oil and gas company which last year agreed to jointly develop the Sea Lion project at the North Falkland Basin with Israel's Navitas as leading financer and operator, announced that following discussions, the Falkland Islands Government had agreed to extend the company's licenses at the South Falkland Basin.

  Falklands' Sea Lion project reaches farm-in deal with Tel Aviv listed Navitas

  

  Rockhopper Exploration PLC on Tuesday said it has signed a milestone farm-in deal at the Sea Lion project in the Falkland Islands. Rockhopper shares were 30% higher in early trade in London at a price of 19.44 pence each. Premier was 13% higher at 114.62p.

  Falklands' reveals oil at the Isobel/Elaine project and several adjoining fans

  

  Rockhopper Exploration and Falkland Oil and Gas Ltd have confirmed a significant oil discovery at the Isobel/Elaine project to the north of the Falkland Islands. According to a release from the companies the new 14/20-2 well was a ‘re-drill’ of the prior Isobel Deep well which had to be abandoned prematurely due to operational issues despite encountering oil.

  Falklands oil drilling campaign takes off with spudding on the Zebedee prospect

  

  Premier Oil spudded its first 2015 Falklands drilling campaign well, 14/15-5, using the Eirik Raude semisubmersible drilling rig on the Zebedee prospect on 6 March. The well, on license PL004b, will test a total of seven stacked fan bodies with varying geological chances of success (GCoS) of 9-52%.
