
The Falkland Islands’ Customs and Immigration Service would like to inform the public that from Wednesday 8 April 2026 His Majesty’s Passport Office will be increasing their fees by approximately 8%.

The UK government will introduce new fees for passport applications on 8 April 2026. The proposals, which are subject to approval by Parliament, will include the following:

British passports are being issued without the words 'European Union' on the cover, despite the delay to Brexit. The new burgundy passports were introduced from 30 March, the day after the UK was supposed to leave the EU, but some people may still receive the old version until stocks run out.
