Due to strong ticket sales, the jackpot climbed to an estimated US$ 768.4 million at the time of the drawing with a cash option of US$ 477 million.

  A single winner in Florida has beaten incredible odds and will take home the entire 590.5 million dollars Powerball jackpot. The lucky ticket was sold at a Publix supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla., outside of Tampa, according to Florida Lottery executive Cindy O’Connell.
