  Reformist Brazil: government procurement contracts will be open to foreign companies

  

  Brazil’s government is changing the rules to give foreign companies an equal shot at winning government contracts, the Economy Ministry said on Monday. Economy Minister Paulo Guedes has pledged to fight corruption and open up one of the world’s most protected countries to foreign business and the overseas investment necessary to modernize Brazil’s crumbling infrastructure.

  Venezuelan president Guaidó meets Johnson in London; in Caracas his office was raided by Maduro's secret service agents

  

  Venezuelan secret service agents have raided the offices of opposition leader Juan Guaidó while he is on a visit to the UK. Footage showed hooded and armed officers from the Sebin service outside the building in Caracas.
