As Spain doubles efforts to ensure full attendance to the coming Ibero-American summit in Cadiz, next 16/17 November diplomatic sources recalled what happened in the previous event which took place in Asuncion, with Fernando Lugo president and which was considered a failure since eleven leaders missed the event including Mercosur full members, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
The Union of South American Nations, UNASUR summit will take place in Paraguay next October 29 in the sidelines of the two-day XXI Ibero-American meeting of heads of government and state, revealed the Paraguayan Foreign Affairs minister Jorge Lara Castro.
“State reform and development” will be driving force of the coming Ibero-American summit to take place next week, October 28/29 in Paraguay and already has the attendance confirmation of eighteen presidents, according to the organizers.
The Ibero-American summit scheduled for October 28/29 in Paraguay will be ‘much dominated’ by current global events said Secretary General Enrique Iglesias who also warned on the risks of self-complacency in Latin America.
