China demanded an explanation from Brazil on Monday after the conservative government’s education minister linked the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic to the Asian country’s “plan for world domination,” in a tweet imitating a Chinese accent.
China is planning to allow more Brazilian meat imports following high-level talks set for May, the Chinese ambassador to Brazil said on Monday. Yang Wanming declined to comment on how many meat processing plants could be approved to export to China but said the issue would be discussed when Brazil Agriculture Minister Tereza Cristina Dias travels to China in May.
Beijing's new ambassador before the Argentine government underlined the excellent relations between the two countries and reiterated China's support to Argentina in the issue of sovereign debt and claims over the Falklands/Malvinas Islands.
