The United Kingdom government has been urged to create a marine sanctuary around islands in the South Atlantic which are “virtually untouched by humans”. Brazil's Embraer and American Airlines Inc. signed a firm order for ten E175 jets. American Airlines is exercising its purchase rights from its original contract with Embraer signed in 2013. This new order is in addition to the one placed in April for four aircraft; is valued at US$ 457 million, based on current list prices, and will be included in Embraer’s fourth-quarter backlog. Argentina's annual core inflation forecast for the end of 2017 rose by 0.7 percentage point (pp) in November to 21%, according to a monthly survey conducted by the Argentine central bank. For 2018, analysts estimated a 14.3% annual inflation, from 14% in the previous survey.1 comment
The number of violent deaths registered during 2016 in Brazil reached 61,600, a 4.7% increase compared to the previous year. This works out to seven people murdered per hour, on average, throughout the country, according to data from the Brazilian Forum on Public Safety released this week.4 comments

Walt Disney company has ended its ban of the Los Angeles Times newspaper after fierce backlash from US media.
