The Argentine Air Force today marked the twentieth anniversary of its baptism of fire during the South Atlantic War with a ceremony held at the First Air Brigade base at El Palomar on the outskirts of the city.

Welsh descendants celebrate

Descendants of the original Welsh settlers in Patagonia celebrated this week in Trevelin, the one hundredth anniversary of the decision to become Argentines, when the area was still under border dispute with Chile.
