Argentine registered aircraft Beechcraft Baron arrived at Stanley Airport on Monday afternoon.

4 people on board, 3 of whom are pilots.

The pilot is 46 year old Jose Castiglione from Bs. As. who is the owner's regular pilot.

The owner of the aircraft is Oscar Jaratz a former banker with Ban Sud. He also owns a large farm in the province of Bs. Aires.

Also on board is Eduardo Schwartz from Bahia Blanca who is a travel agent and Carlos Etcheverrigaray (65) from Buenos Aires. Former banker and rancher.

In addition to Castiglione, Schwartz and Etcheverrigaray are also pilots.

The aircraft left Buenos Aires on Monday morning, calling at Comodoro Rivadavia for fuel, before the onward flight to Port Stanley airport, where local customs officials greeted the aircraft. In all it was a 7 hours flight.

The 4 men say that it has long been their ambition to 'know the islands'. They expect to stay 2 nights in Port Stanley and want to 'see how life is in the islands'.

Etcheverrigaray said that they 'want to drink a few beers in the Malvina House Hotel in Stanley and maybe see some penguins'.

It is believed that they might also be taken to one of the near-by mountains which figured in the Falklands War of 1982.
