No opportunity has been lost during the 20th anniversary year of the Falklands War to remind the British public of the sacrifices made in 1982 and the pledge given to uphold the right of the Islander's to self-determination.
One of the outstanding commanders of the 1982 Falklands War, Commodore Mike Clapp, CB, laid the wreath in memory of the Armed Forces at the Falkland Islands Association (FIA) annual Act of Remembrance commemorating Battle Day on 8th December, 1914, when the German South Atlantic fleet was vanquished by the Royal Navy.
