The 940 passengers of the Crystal Symphony officially inaugurated the 2003/04 cruise season in Argentina that this year is expecting sixty vessels with 70,000 visitors.
The 50,000 tons Bahamas flagged "Crystal Symphony" has ten decks, two pent house, two swimming pools, restaurants, bars, gymnasium, theatres, casino, beauty parlours and all cabins look out to the sea. The crew numbers 543.
She left from Fort Lauderdale October 27, and will be calling Montevideo, Puerto Madryn, Ushuaia, Punta Arenas before returning to Buenos Aires and then north back to Florida.
"There are 56 cruises confirmed until March 20, but we guess the number will be closer to over sixty", said Buenos Aires Passenger Terminal Superintendent Pablo Hawkins.
"Passengers from the "Crystal Symphony" will be spending two to three nights in Buenos Aires before heading south, which means they will enjoy touring the city, shopping, dining, dancing tango, discovering a new unexpected world", added Mr. Hawkins.
Last season, 2002/2003, 47 cruise vessels called in Buenos Aires.
