A third cruise liner belonging to Festival Cruises has been arrested in Gibraltar reports The Gibraltar Chronicle“. The ”Azur” is a 33-year-old, 15,000 tonne cruise liner registered in Panama has a capacity for 720 passengers and 330 crew members.

It was arrested Monday morning at the request of the Admiralty Marshal.

The arrest follows that of the "Flamenco" and "Bolero" cruise liners in Gibraltar last week, and the other three Festival liners- "European Stars", "Mistral", and "European Vision", in other parts of the world.

According to international press reports, the vessels were arrested because Festival has not kept up with payments to creditors.

In tourism related news Mancomunidad president Juan Montedeoca Márquez, last week visited the Gibraltar stand at FITUR, the world tourism fair being held in Madrid.

Mr. Montesdeoca Marques welcomed the fact that its material included leaflets promoting tourism in the Campo region, a gesture reciprocated by the Campo's own stand at the tourism fair.

Campo is the neighbouring area to Gibraltar in Andalucía.
